Some of the most useful baddies in Dungeons & Dragons just doesn't get the love they deserve, and I'm talking about Hobgoblins. Where is their campaign? Where are their vast armies being destroyed by a group of 3 to 6 adventurers who are better described as "murder-hobos" and in high school voted "Least Likely To Become Big Damn Heroes and Save The World"?
You probably know where this is going. See, I write a blog post on Wednesday about building and creating an adventure set in an uncharted archipelago. The main baddies in that are the Hobgoblins, except they are skilled on the high seas -- Also I really like the idea of hobgoblins being more like a Roman army than a Mongol tribe like previous editions kept insinuating... so that'll explain their names if you are confused.
And because I like you guys, I'll also share a PDF of some goblin/hobgoblin slang I'll be using in an upcoming game!
