And then Subaru gets tied up and rescued by his new best friend, thank goodness. It's a good thing they have Ram on their side. I don't think Garfiel is gonna be easy.
Speaking of Ram--I'm pretty sure someone answered this already--but Rose wants confirmation that Ram can or can't smell the miasma. Do tell!

2021-11-30 22:04:24 +0000 UTCIt is not really that clear in the anime, but the ability to smell the miasma is quite rare. Basically the only people we get confirmation on can smell it. That means witch cultists, Rem, Beatrice and likely Garfiel. Echidna can surely do it too, and maybe Puck, but Ram cannot. (*Minor spoiler*) There is some side content in the novels that go further into Rem's and Ram's backstory and their initial period serving Roswaal where they get his help hunting down the remaining cultists that were assaulting their village. According to that, neither Ram, Roswaal nor Frederica can smell the miasma - only Rem can. Of course, the drill loli stays in the library, so she doesn't help in the hunt.
