It still makes me sad that he may never know how epic he is! He is such a tragic case ๐ญ
So what do you think about the training thing? Do you think he was training always activated in his sleep (or maybe after the lighting strike) or was his grandfather training him in his sleep? Hmmm...

I think his fear keeps him from performing, and when he is asleep, he is not consciously aware, thus without fear. I think what we see when he is asleep is the result of effective focused training, not an alter ego that learned more than the awake Zenitsu.
