Progress Update (Woo, good news!)

Just a quick update, but as some may know, I've been under a lot of stress these past few months. This ended up leading me to getting massive burnout with Magical Girl Gunslinger and not really enjoying anything I wrote. Honestly, latest chapter has gone through so many different revisions and versions, I've probably deleted four chapters worth of content. Obviously, this made me particularly depressed.

However, I've started getting back into the groove. Most of the credit goes to two things: First, I started a side project that lets me alternate with MGG and just enjoy writing like I did when I first started MGG. Whenever I get stuck on that project, I switch to MGG and vice versa. This has led to me actually being excited and happy while I'm writing MGG, which I'm incredibly thankful for. The second project is also a lot of fun in several ways, and not having to worry about critiques is keeping me happy. It will be made available eventually to read, but only after there's a decent amount of content.

Second: All of you being awesome. Even though I've been staying away from a lot of comments and reviews on Royal Road, everyone here and on the discords I visit has been incredibly supportive. Whether you're a Patron or just silently cheering me on, I appreciate you!

Now then, all that is to say the next chapter is coming along well. I won't give a timeframe, but it's going very well at 6.5k words and still chugging. I might also delay it slightly to do a double release of chapters because it might be more satisfying that way, but we'll see. I don't want to delay this next chapter any more than I already have, you all have waited long enough.

Next big news is Discord is ready (hopefully) and will be linked with next chapter drops! This is my first Discord set up and management, so there's going to be some growing pains. Thankfully, I've got two close friends of mine to help me moderate and keep an eye on things, and I'm pretty sure I know a few other people I can trust to bop people if there being bad. Because I'm a little concerned about managing the discord for the first time, the link will only be available to those who have signed up to at least the $1 tier once (you do not have to maintain a membership to stay in the discord). Hopefully, this will filter out some people and keep things a little more manageable. I might open it up later to public, but we'll see how things go.

Finally, I got some amazing Fan Art that is going up as the new book cover. It will be going up here as its own post for those at the $5 tier or above. Once the next chapters are done and posted here, the art will be replacing the current one on Royal Road.
