May 29 - Another Place
Added 2024-05-30 14:00:12 +0000 UTCThis week I wanted to write something with a similar sound to last week but at a slower tempo than my usual house stuff. I started out with chords and added layers and a basic arrangement to get to the version you hear above. I think it turned out okay and it's worth returning to, but something feels like it's missing and I'm not sure I'll finish it.
What do you think? Should I finish this? Do you like the slower tempo here? And do you like the overall atmospheric vibe of the song? - Let me know in the comments!

Love this chord progression and the chill vibes. Can definitely see this one finished. It's a bit more relaxed than a lot of the recent stuff too.

2024-07-07 15:09:00 +0000 UTCI like the slower tempo for sure! I think the theme is solid too. I don't think it's necessarily missing anything, but I could see how it might seem that way. An idea might be if you add a second chorus you could change the chords a bit and add a couple more layers the second time around. I think you should at least return to it at some point and see what comes of it, even if you don't end up finishing it.
