Added 2023-02-21 11:24:29 +0000 UTCHOLY SMOKES!!! This movie was freaking AMAZINGGGGG!!! The cinematography, the epic music, the fighting sequences, JUST WOW! This movie was definitely a 10/10 for me I loved it so much. Henry Cavil was such a great Superman, I feel like he played a much darker, more emotional, misunderstood Superman than what we've seen from Christopher Reeve's Superman. He seemed lost and unsure of his place/purpose in the world which is a different side of Superman that I hadn't seen before. Incredible performances from Henry Cavill and from the actor that played Lois Lane! THANK THE LORD, I loved this version of Lois Lane. She was smart, savvy, and for once played an important role in the story which I loved to see. I always hated that damsel in distress trope so it was refreshing to say the least to see this version of Lois. Loved her! General ZOD, honestly was a respectable dude. I know he was a bad guy and all but I still admire his loyalty to Crypton and Cryptonians. He may have not gone about things in the best way possible, but I still admired his loyalty. Overall, incredible film. Zack Snyder knocked this one out of the park! I really hope you guys enjoy my reaction!
P.S. This was a pretty long movie, so I took like 4 breaks LOL, hopefully I have everything lined up correctly, be sure to utilize my reflection behind me to help make sure things are synced. 2023-03-30 16:16:44 +0000 UTCWhile I love Christopher Reeve, I think Henry Cavill nailed a less cheesy Clark/Superman. You should definitely check out the movie, Brightburn. It's sort of an "evil Superman" origin concept.

That look of discovery and awe at how this movie was done and how Henry portrayed Clark/Superman is such a great joy to see. Zack Snyder had commented about approaching this movie as Superman in the real world. How would the world react to a man who can literally do anything...including Fly? Mixed reaction to be certain...Wonder and Fear. Again, I am so giddy that you got to see this and that you reacted with the amazement that you did. Definitely a 10/10. Thank you. Peace and love. <3

Your reaction to this was everything I hoped it would be...and more. Lauren: "Not gonna lie. He is pretty dreamy." My Sis was yelling "THANK YOU!!" LOL, Your reaction to his first flight, the EPIC fight scenes,the cimetography, the performances...ALL of it. Clark and Zods final fight, and Clark realizing he had no choice but to kill Zod...and the realization that he is now the last Kryptonian. Just pure Magic. And your response to Zod was also one I hoped to see. That he was carrying out his duty to Krypton and not just some megalomaniac. Yes he went about it in the wrong way. Lauren, this is why I keep coming back. For reactions like this. Thank you. So much peace and love to you my friend. <3

2023-02-21 20:49:53 +0000 UTCEnjoyed watching this with you! Great movie for sure. I remember years ago when I went to see this in the theaters. It was an AWESOME experience! While yes, this Superman is different - it's just another take on him. xD All of the reasons that you have for loving Lois are why many have had an issue with her in this. 1978 Lois is old school and more true to the comics (of that day). I feel that Amy Adams did a good job portraying a modern take on her. What irked me in this was the AMOUNT of surviving Kryptonians. If you pay attention to the ship (while Clark was on it) you see many others. They're all Kryptonians as well. So the one v one fight between him and Zod was kind of a headscratcher for me. I understand that Zod believed that he could take Kal on in a fight but I'm sure he'd have some support with him just because that's how any military force would behave. Whatever though - it's an entertaining movie. Isn't as great as '78 but it's a great one in any-case. Cavill's portrayal of Superman was good stuff! Of course I still prefer Reeves version but Cavill did a fine job playing the role.

I thought Cavill was equally amazing for a more modern era. I enjoy them both. So glad you enjoyed this. It was a really fun watch along

And outstanding acting from both Amy Adams, Henry Cavill and specially Michael Shannon as Zod π€ Totally one of my all time fav movies π I would kinda recomend not seeing the other superstuff though, because its fucking bad π Wb totally went in the "ooh yeah lets do some cheap money grabbing here!!!" way, and made a total clusterfuck of it. Specially supes vs batty, is just pure crap π₯π’ππ
