New Release - The View From Here
Added 2023-07-21 21:30:01 +0000 UTCLooking back, Mount Olympus is one of my songs I'm most proud of. It's relatively simple, but the underlying themes are very powerful. I've often thought of writing more like Mount Olympus and maybe releasing them together...
The View From Here is a collection of melodic dubstep songs focused on the underlying & adjacent themes I wrote about in Mount Olympus. Mount Elbert is probably the closest thing to a 'sequel' to Mount Olympus and the rest of the songs touch on some of the adjacent themes.
The mountains are beautiful here in Colorado and I see them every day. I like to think that this EP tells a story about the different ways life can relate to mountains - responsibility looming over you, overcoming challenge, accomplishing something hard, and even making it to the top and not knowing what to do next.
