Apr 19 - Tears of the Sky
Added 2023-04-20 14:31:00 +0000 UTCThis week I set out to write something uplifting and memorable. It's been awhile since I've written in this style so it felt like a good time to return to it. I started out with some basic chords and a melody in mind, put a rough drop together and arranged the idea into something resembling a song.
I think this turned out really well. It's missing a lot but I think it's strong even at this stage and I can see myself returning to it. What do you think? - Do you like this idea? Do you think this would be good with a vocal? And do you want more like this?

2023-04-21 01:06:14 +0000 UTCThe way it's currently structured, it needs a vocal, I think. There's just not a lot happening in what would be the verse that makes me feel like it would be better standing alone.

2023-04-20 22:53:15 +0000 UTCVery strong at this stage. Vocals over could definitely work even though I ususally prefer the instrumentals :) The high pitched beeps from 23 are a bit misplaced imo, really like the buildup and the drop.
