April 5 - Mountain Starlight

One of the main things I don't switch up often is drums - I write mostly in 3 genres (house/trance, Dubstep/Future Bass, DnB) and the drums there follow a pretty standard pattern. So I started out writing a different type of beat, added some chords, and arranged from there.
I like how this sounds. It's different, and right now I need the change of pace. I hope to write some more different stuff in the coming weeks - so let me know what type of "different" music you would like to see from me!
But what do you think? - Is this a cool idea? Does the the switch do enough to separate it from my past work? And does it still sound like me? Let me know in teh comments!

I really like the different drum pattern! I think this song already has a lot of promise. I'm going to be completely honest here, but I'll preface with the fact that you are probably my most consistently favorite artist, however I have felt like beats were one of your weak points. The rest of your music makes up for it because I am personally very melody and aesthetics oriented. It's just on the songs that are more bass and drum oriented(not the genre) that it gets a tad boring. Metamorphosis is my favorite song of the last year, and my favorite part is around the 2:30 mark, that syncopated kick really tickles me and makes those chords shine! I'm excited to see you change things up a bit and look forward to more.
