So this week's song idea is a bit late... That's because I wasn't happy with the Aug 3 idea from last week and coming out of the session this week I still felt like the song idea was pretty weak. So I decided to spend some time revisiting progressive house in detail to refresh myself on the type of sound I want to go for in this genre. I spent way too much time on this idea for just a WIP idea (close to like 20 hours at this point haha), but it definitely shows and I'm really happy with the result.

I like this one a lot - it sounds more current and much higher quality, but it's still got the Approaching Nirvana sound to it. The intro could use a bit of work and maybe some different types of sounds to round out the sound palette. And while the drop is really good, there are still a few things missing. Lastly - a good vocal will really take this to the next level.

Given how much time I've already spent on this one, I'll definitely be returning to it. But what do you think? - Is this type of progressive house something you want to hear more of? And do you think I should finish this idea?
