July 13 - House of Mirrors
Added 2022-07-14 16:35:59 +0000 UTCThis week, I started off with some atmosphere samples to spark some inspiration. I began with the intention of writing some melodic dubstep, but during the session a more chill direction felt better. I added some drum layers, some basic sound design/layering, and some arrangement to finish off the idea.
I really like this week & last week's idea but they're definitely on the more chill side. These come relatively easy to me, but I do feel like they are less of a "proper" song than my normal EDM stuff. But I dunno... maybe the chill/atmospheric stuff is something people would be interested in.
What do you think - do you want me to finish this one? And are songs like these something you'd like to hear more of?

Also, I've attached a ~20min version of the piano improv I did during my writing session per the request of someone on stream. It's full of mistakes and not very good quality, but people seemed to enjoy it on stream so maybe some of you will get some enjoyment out of it despite the quality.
