March 9 - Introspect
Added 2022-03-11 17:31:54 +0000 UTCThis week, I'm continuing with some DnB ideas. In contrast to last week's song, I wanted to write something a bit more chill and piano-focused. I wrote some chord ideas first and then put together a quick drum groove to get going. Then I added a bass, a subtle arp, pads, and some other background elements. After a basic arrangement I ended up at the version in this post.
I think I'm getting the hang of writing Liquid DnB in my own style and I really like where this idea is headed. I'm not sure about releasing it, but I'll likely return to it at some point. What do you think? - Is this something you'd like to see me finish?

Yes, definitely finish it! Very nice chords and overall great vibe. I love how distant/subtle the pads and background elements are. It's got that uniquely contented/melancholy feel that only this sort of liquid DnB can bring. Probably my favorite of the projects you've previewed in the couple of months that I've been following you on Patreon.
