Added 2022-03-03 17:20:29 +0000 UTCThis month we're writing some more Drum and Bass! And though I just released Catharsis, it's been awhile (September, in fact) since I've written some DnB ideas. I think this idea is really good! I started with drums, wrote some chords, and then added some layers & a basic arrangement during stream. After the stream, I added a few basic FX to tie the whole idea together.
I like this idea a lot and I think I'll be finishing it, for sure. The basic idea here is very strong and it picks up really nicely around 1:00. When I revisit, I'm going to focus on shortening the arrangement, overall sound design, and adjustments to the drums and FX to really accentuate each section of the song.

Liking how the arp opens up on certain notes to create the melody. Definitely would like to see this continued at some point! Feels like there's room for a soft orchestral breakdown somewhere in the middle – or even some acoustic guitar plucking.
