Feb 19 - Indignation

I started out writing a decent progression on strings to get the feel of the chords right and because I'm having fun with synth wave, I ended up going in that direction again. I spent the last part of the stream developing the idea with more layers and some basic arrangement to come to the idea we have here.
I like this idea, but there's a lot I would change. The tempo does feel a bit slow (maybe that's okay) and the kick is a bit too overpowering because of the original sample. After stream I simplified the arrangement, but I think it still feels too long and drawn out as is. That said, if I revisit synth wave later this year, this is definitely something I would return to.
What do you think of this song? I've never done synth wave before; is it something you'd like to see more of?

Oh damn, I really like this. If it were me, I'd lean into how cinematic the chords sound and make it a more soundtrack-esque piece while still letting the synthwave genre influence it. The slow tempo does feel slow, but that makes it more dramatic, and plays a part in that cinematic vibe I mentioned.
