Added 2022-01-20 17:18:42 +0000 UTCSince we only have 2 more weeks in January, I'm continuing to write whatever comes to me. In February we'll get back to genre/style polls, so expect a poll in the coming weeks.
This week, I started off with a chord progression I liked and just went from there. A bit of tropical vibes on this one as well as some deep house influences. What I like about this project is the storytelling feel it has over the course of the idea. There's 2 distinct sections (movements?) and it feels more complex than the "run-of-the-mill" electronic song. Honestly, it gives me Blocking the Sky/Evolve vibes and reminds me of songs I wrote when I was focused on genre restrictions. And it's only half of a song at this point!
I'll probably return to this one because it was a fun one to write and the idea came naturally during the stream. But what do you think? - Is this something you'd like to see me finish?

I really like the laid-back tone of it, oddly it reminds me of "I Dream of Ibiza" from Subliminal Message a bit for some reason. The kick seems a little dense/overpowered, especially in the beginning, but other than that I think it's a really good draft worth fleshing out more!
