Jan 12 - Spoke (Liquid DnB)
Added 2022-01-13 17:17:07 +0000 UTCI'm kicking off 2022 with a Drum and Bass idea! It wasn't the direction I had in mind originally, but chat suggested I try it out and it worked pretty well.
The main essence of this idea is the chord progression. It's basic and it honestly reminds me of a progression you'd hear in an Anjuna song. It also seemed to work well with the faster pace of DnB. I wrote some drum layers and added in a bass, some pads, and some supporting elements. I did write a melody on stream, but I felt like it detracted rather than added to the song.
I think this is a pretty strong idea and it's definitely on my list to return to - it would work really well with some vocals! But what do you think? - Is this something you want to see revisited? Download is attached & WIP Archives have also been updated.
