Approaching Nirvana

This week we're continuing the trend of chill piano/deep house. For this idea, I wanted to focus less on piano and more on the chill/deep atmosphere that is really common in this genre. I started out with some loose arrangement notes, wrote chords, and went from there. If you want to know how this song developed from start to finish, you can watch the VOD on Twitch.

I really like the vibe of this song. The general idea is pretty good, but it's lacking a central idea to push you forward. The main focus is supposed to be the bass, but I feel like there's too many other distracting elements and the bass isn't enough as is to carry the whole song.

That said, the song has no FX right now and that would help tremendously. It also needs less melodic/up-front/distracting elements and more background elements that enhance what's already there. If I revisit this idea, I'll start with FX/automation and see how it feels. What do you think of this song? - do you want me to revisit this idea?
