Solstice - Week 5
Added 2020-07-30 17:04:09 +0000 UTCYesterday was the final stream for the song and the song is almost finished. The only things left are a final mix, a final master, and a few final FX. Here a couple thoughts:
- A better overall mix will make the song feel a LOT more cohesive.
- The pre-drop fill is decent, but I'm going to revisit it before final.
- The big transition in the middle of the song could maybe use a layer or 2 more.
- The drop needs some subtle transitions to help the pacing and energy.
I'm aiming to finish this one in the next couple of weeks so expect a download on this one soon.
Huge thanks as always for supporting me. This song was really fun to work on. I was nervous around week 2/3 that it wouldn't come together, but it did in the end and I'm really liking how it sounds!
Next month we are doing another round of Top-Tier Patron Mixes (I'd like to throw in a set for all the Patrons too, but we'll see). And of course, you'll be voting on the September song as well.
