Fresh Start - WIP Week 4
Added 2020-03-19 16:16:54 +0000 UTCThis week, the song is really coming together! Hilariously, I just deleted the VOD when I was trying to grab the link for you to watch... sorry about that lol. But that's okay - the updates this week were small but I think they add up to a big difference.
The Good
- Everything is coming together much better.
- The bass has another layer that fills it out nicely.
- Little intro BG FX help fill out a bit of the space and come in during other parts of the song to really connect the whole idea (I might dial them back a bit though).
- Added in violins to B part of the drop.
- Adjusted the extra synth in the drop parts.
The Stuff I'm Not Happy With
- New verse drums are better but not perfect - need to decide what to do here.
- Build FX need a bit more work.
- The whole song needs a pass with some various things like adjustments to fills, recording to audio so I can control parts better.
- For the drop fill I might revisit.
- Some of the parts in the drop (violins, high synth) need another pass - not satisfied with it currently.

Next week I'll be doing 2 streams because I'd like to finish this up during the month of March. They'll be on Monday and Wednesday at the usual times (5PM ET US). The focus will be final FX, sound design, and extending the arrangement. Specifically, I need to flesh out the build a bit more, make a final decision on verse percussion, and make it into a full song. We'll also need to think of a name.
