Tears of Magic - Longear Clan
Added 2021-06-03 19:12:30 +0000 UTCA race of anthropomorphic bunnies. Most of them live in the small village of Banrir, located deep within the Elderwood Forest. There, the Longear Clan lives in harmony with nature, holding a strong connection with the Whispering Clan. They have a laid-back lifestyle and prefer to avoid the outside world, living off the forest and treating it with care and respect. They are short with long ears and big feet.
Their family structure consists of units, in which a group of males and females are all married to one another. That means they usually have more than one father or mother, being a taboo to reveal who are the biological parents. Units usually range between 6 to 8 people, but they can also be as small as 4 people or as large as 16. New partners are added when they are approved by the whole unit, usually leaning to balance the gender preference of their members.
Among the Longear Clan, the Archdruid is chosen to connect the Whispering Clan to the outside world, sharing their vast knowledge and protecting the Elderwood Forest. When the Archdruid grows old, the Whispering Clan summons him and tell it's time for succession. He then appoints a few apprentices with high affinity to nature and train them with great care, teaching the "language of the forest" so they can learn directly from the Whispering Clan. The succession usually happens only once every century, due to the Archdruid's extended life spam. Apprentices that don't become the Archdruid are appointed as Druids, becoming leaders of their respective villages, while the Archdruid is the leader of the entire Longear Clan. The current Archdruid is an eccentric Longear called Genshi.
