In the late 90's police anime were quite popular. You're under arrest, Detective Conan, Kochikame, Dominion Tank Police...
But the production of new series in the last decade has been very low. There are very few crime series and those that exist always add science fiction, supernatural events or horror as their main theme, leaving the police genre in the background. What I mean is that there are hardly any stories about cops doing cop stuff. Detectives investigating a serial killer or cops chasing a bank robber. I really miss those stories.
This one I thought to myself. "Let's pay tribute to those series I loved so much as a kid."
Pick your favorite policewoman and ask her to be gentle with the handcuffs (unless you like her to be rough with you)
