Hi there. Nice video, interesting to know how the speed control was engineered. Just the same as vinyl record players! How old is your equipment? It seems to have served you for a long time! :) I recently calibrated my heating mantle using a thermocouple simulator (fakes the voltage generated by the true thermocouple, so you can adjust the temperature knob to be precisely what the probe reports). Nice job anyway. I appreciate you being an all-rounder, as we say over here.

This one is on the cusp of being too simple, compared to say the heating element replacement. I know you only care about precision not accuracy here, but some exploration of the accuracy or teeth replacement could be interesting... that old plastic won't last forever. An alternative to 3D printing might be gluing metal hair combs around the piece, bending the tines up, and then cutting them short.
