I hope that you all will have an awesome weekend and I just wanted to share a note on how the work on the 2.55 update is coming along. So I'm done with all the new tilesets and effects for the new west coast cliff area which is rather large. And I'm currently working to implement my ideas for the area and the story along it. I'm very certain that I'll be done with that this month. But it's not just this to finish. I need to finish each story part for the new TF sequences, and there is one more area, luckly small to make for that. The update is getting much larger than planned so I'm thinking of increasing the version number to 2.6 instead of 2.55 to reflect the content better. If I were to guess when I'm done with the update it would probably be mid next month.
Oh and an old favourite character does a return appearance :-)

Many fixes around the town Fiskestadt has been made in order to prepair for the future Queen of the wastewaters update, for a lack of a better name. And some new dialogs. There has also been fixes to the old cleanup script that prevented multiparallaxes from re-loading. This did not give an error because the old script was safeguarded in such way, but it's all fixed now. There has also been a significant update to the multiparallax script, now no longer relying on base engine ordering in the viewports. Now the parallaxes can be mixed between overlays and other pictures depending on ID. They can also fade in and out and set transparency level and changing speeds while being active. I know fancy stuff for sure.

The new maps take advantage of the new updated multiparallax script and add's moving cloud effects in a more volumetric way. We are experimenting with using alpha channels to maps in order to isolate parallaxes, and we've got it working however it is performance heavy, and we will likely not get around that. So if this is later implemented it will be used very limited in order to still have the game running on low spec machines without too much framedrops. For example very specific scenes.

I hope that you'll like the new update when it's ready. I'm guessing mid next month.
