Hi! I hope that you've got an awesome summer!
As I've been talking about previously I was going to show a bit of the updated linework for the old scene pictures. These pictures are done and will be present in the update. I might finish all the bath scene pictures but they are quite many so we'll see because I would like to have time to finish the new content aswell ha ha.
I'm re-imagining one of the new scenes that were planned for the update.
It will still have the same kind of graphics but will play out in a different way and require a little additional graphics but it'll be better and less expected. I've been working on a few scenes playing parallel to the players movement while not restricting the player to the area. Which might seem simple but all hell has potential to come loose. It's certainly interesting how many things that can and will go wrong. But I think I've solved most if not all issues so far. And I think I'm about done with the difficult part.
During this last month I've migrated to the new hardware and Win10. It's been painful to say the least. I think that I've got most if not all the software down. I ended up reverting back to some of the old software because the new didn't work out like I wanted it. Win 10 gave me a bit of a headache and it still does somewhat. It's always little things tho, like stickycorners and dual screens being annoying and a bunch of BS to fix. After all the testing with the new hardware that's maybe 10x the performance of the old, it actually feels like an older machine. I don't really feel that it has more performance. But it will be more future proof and I guess that was the main idea to get a new machine. But I am disappointed. Since the tweeter of the old Audiopro speakers locked up I also did an update to the speakers with a pair of Adam, which landed me in the red this month, but I guess I'll manage. I had planned to get a pair of speaker monitors at a later time tho, for the music production for the game.
There are some additional hardware I do need to get for the new workstation, but it is manageable at this point. And now I guess I can lock some of the new licenses that I have to the new workstation. Like the Mixcraft license that I acquired cheap. I've used that before and Mixcraft is waaaay friendlier to work with than Audacity when it comes to mixing audiofiles.
I'm pausing payments this month aswell, I'm done with the civics studies which took much more time than I ever thought. I think it took maybe five times longer than it should've. I'm only just starting to pick up speed on the development of the game again. And next month will be more classes but I'm sure that I'll have much more time on my hand because it's at a completely different tempo.
Today I'll work on a new battle sprite and a new walking sprite along with a facial sprite, tomorrow continue on some tedious work on some events(Alot of testing). Also tomorrow I'll move my new workstation and computer table back infront of the window. Because the windowpainter is finished painting the window so tomorrow it should've dried up and I don't have to sit in the middle of the room working :-P, it's worse than you think most likely ha ha
Anyway Sata..! hrhpmh! Santa's workshop is up and running and I hope that you'll enjoy the update when it's finished. Thank you for all your support! :-)
