We return to the USS Enterprise with the fourth movie of the franchise: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. First off, ANNIE CAMDEN is in this movie?! Growing up, I was a big fan of 7th Heaven, so seeing her made my inner child/teenager so happy. I absolutely LOVED this movie. It was definitely one of my favourites. I loved that our crew got to time travel once again, and we got to see them in the 20th century. I can't believe how emotional I got in the end when we saw our new baby girl.
Gosh, I love these movies! Next, we are going to TNG...and I cannot wait!

For many, this is their favourite Trek Movie (although mine remains the Second). It's certainly the most popular in terms of casual viewers. The threat to earth is not dissimilar to V'ger, and it may not surprise you to know that the mysterious and ominous beginning and ending of the film was written by different scriptwriters to the light-hearted middle (1980s) section. Additional trivia: You probably remember, but the time-travel jump around the sun was the same method they used in TOS' Tomorrow is Yesterday. When Chekov is on the street asking about the Nuclear Wessels, the woman who comes up to him and attempts to give directions was a genuine bystander, who didn't realise they were filming a movie! The whales in this movie were actually cute little remote-controlled models; as was the helicopter that Sulu flew.
