ExoFront Miniatures Wargame

It is Adrian Speaking, Puppetswar main designer and sculpto. Today I would like to encourage you to take a look at the game that I've created, ExoFront. It is a strategy tabletop miniatures game set in the universe thorn by interdimensional warfare.
This is my personal passion project. My goal was to create a game that will please my own wargame expectations. An accessible, fast-paced, tactical-oriented game with very straightforward mechanics that will also allow me to use my favourite figures.
The ruleset and all basic components are free. 2d Print-to-play files accompanied with a set of d6 dice and measure tape will allow you to check the gameplay for yourself.

The game is in its first phase, I created the core mechanics and into-game scenario, in upcoming months my plan is to expand it with new army lists, scenarios, scaling game format and adding optional modules that will enable players to choose the level of complexity of the game.

@Ian our idea behind this projet is not to compete with OPR systems or other existing wargames on the market by taking their place. We believe that ExoFront can be viewed as a something in a different category, more of a fast tactical boardgame with a wargame thropes than type of wargame system we all know very well. One do not need to exclude the other. We encourage you try it out even if only on 2d printable assets and let us know what you think :)

2022-08-12 06:40:57 +0000 UTCExoFront looks like a great starting point if you've never played a game before. 40k is very complicated, a lot of people use One Page Rules as an alternative to Games Workshop's 40k rules because its very simple- all the rules fit on one page! Puppet's wars would fit really well with OPR's rules

2022-08-08 14:06:18 +0000 UTCThis is a great system for mimi wargaming because you can use any minis you like and it has a nice small 9 page rulebook that is nice and simple. It's going to quite become my go to game for introducing people to mini wargaming.
