A Mother's Child (It's Spreading)

(Jill's POV)

I was letting this kid nap right now, so I stuck to texting my temporary partner about what I know and what is happening right now. This mission wasn't ever yet, so there was more to report later and i'm in a good place to do it. I was just going to rest for now and ask a few more questions to probe more information out of (Y/N) from what happened. While he was still asleep the door opened and I saw it was Chris and I just held a finger to my sleeps to keep him quiet before I just stepped out of the room with him.

Jill-What is it?

Chris-(Y/N) is going to be examined in a bit. Mia also wants to see him after and that might be for the best since we're gonna be heading back soon enough.

Jill-Any updates on his parents?

Chris-Not from what he said otherwise. His mother has gone through something and for all we know his father can be dead.

Jill-Well if the worst happens I think I might take him.

Chris-You wanna be a mother while in this kind of field?

Jill-I've been through more than enough shit to earn to settle down on my time off.

Chris-I'm not gonna get into this. Just get him ready because a doctor is on his way here to look at him. Be ready to head out in a while too.

I just went back to the room to only see him sleeping still and I was set on bringing him home with me since he's most likely an orphan now because his mom sounds like she's very unfit to care for him and if his dad was the place I was and he never saw him, they either lied or he's most likely dead.

While I was starting to gear up annoyed my questions would have to wait and that woman would be all over him while i'm gone... or dose she have to?

Jill's mind-Looks like i'm making a little call for a pick up.

(Timeskip 1 Hour)

(Mia's POV)

I just got done with my check up with the doctor and my daughter was check with Ethan when she got here and she really is my special little girl and after I was done I was on my way to go see my little neighbor from his check up. When I made it to the room Chris said he was in I saw him being held by that woman.

Jill-Can I help you?

Mia-I think Chris already told you that I would be taking him.

Jill-Well I assure you that there is no reason for that. I called a friend of mine and she's more than happy to watch them for me. I decided to watch and care for him until this whole mess is sorted out.

Mia-No, I will be doing that to take him home.

Just then she covered his ears and I was getting mad now, but was careful because I had my daughter in my arms.

Jill-And always remind him that his parents aren't there? *whisper*... He's better off with my friend.

She uncovered his ears and shifted him on her lap and I frankly don't give a shit even if I need to take this to the higher ups. Soon I heard someone walk behind me and it was a soldier in full gear and a gun.

Soldier-Jill Valentine, we're heading out in 10.

Jill-My friend should be here in 15. He'll be picked up and a Sgt. knows of this.

Soldier-Whatever, come on.

((Y/N)'s POV)

Jill put me on the bed and kissed my head before she left and took my neighbor Mia and her baby out with her, so I was alone, but I heard them argue and I hate it when people fight. After a while I was starting to get bored, but then the door opened and I looked to see a girl and she didn't look like she worked her.

I was kinda nervous and if this was Jill's friend I think she might be nice, but maybe it was a mean friend that is just helping her. She came over to me and bent down a little and she had a smile.

???-Hi there. Are you (Y/N)?

(Y/N)-... Yes.

???-I'm Clare, Clare Redfield... I heard you met my brother Chris.

(Y/N)-He's kinda mean.

Clare-Well... How about you come with me for now. I'm sure Jill is going to bring your mommy and daddy home before you now it.

She just sounds so nice and when she took my hand she pulled me off the bed and I walked with her down the halls until we made it to the front and when we did I saw Mia talking to someone while holding her baby, but she didn't see us.

We got outside and she helped me in the back of her girl and I buckled in before she drove away from this place.

Claire-We'll come back when Jill says she's coming back, but in the meantime she said you a story to tell. You mind telling me?

(Y/N)-Um... Is it the story about the scary place?

Claire-Well,... yeah, but if you want I can get you a treat to help you feel better. Will that work?

(Y/N)-... Can we get ice cream?

Claire-Sure thing.

(Y/N)-... How long did you know Jill?... I call her super Jill.

Claire-*Snicker* Super Jill?... I only knew her for a day before she went and found you.

(Y/N)-Did Jill tell you her stories?

(Claire's POV)

I just said yes to avoid all that and this kid was so nervous at first, so I guess he just warms up to people quickly. Not very safe with certain strangers, but helpful for me now. When we got the ice cream we went somewhere private and I started to record his voice on my phone when he started to go on and on about his story and this kid has went through some shit and most of it was kinda weird.

(Y/N)-Then Alcian got very mad when she saw with my mommy at the crazy doll lady's house and- *cough* *cough*.

Claire-Woah, slow down. There's no rush... How about you tell me about those scary monsters. When did you see them next?

(Y/N)-After Jill saved me... There was so many of them when we left and they were trying really hard to... get us... then...

I saw the look on his face and I could tell he was really bothered now and after going through an attack like that I don't think everyone could've made it, so I stopped my recording and i'll go over it for research later.

Claire-Hey, it's ok.

(Y/N)-No... Those monster killed people.

Claire-Well,... what do you think super Jill is gonna do to them? She's gonna beat them and save others to make sure it never happens again.

That didn't really work and I tried the next best thing I could think of and that was to pull him into me for comfort. It was bothering him more and more now that he was thinking of it. He must've suppressed it so much during his story and he was shy about this, but he didn't push away.

Claire's mind-This is better than fighting corrupted asshole and actual monsters by far... I think my research can wait a bit.

(Mia's POV)

Right now I had my daughter down for a nap and I was on the phone the court to get adoption papers for stand by for when things go south since I very much doubt they will be making back unscathed or at all because there used to be a whole village of people before they captured and killed people.

Mia's mind-If anyone else gets to have you, it's going to be me.

Chris owes me not only for what happened to Ethan, but for everything that has happened and we listened to every fucking thing he said! I heard the report about his mom being with that creepy doll and his dad was with that 9ft blood sucker.

Mia's mind-They don't know this place like I do. These peo-... monsters have mostly likely killed them or worse.

Now they want to put this soldier in charge of a child when I bet she has no experience as a mother while I went through hell for mine.

Mia's mind-... I'm going to be his mom and Rosemary is going to be a little sister.

Meanwhile in the lab scientists were going over the crumbled remains of mold left by Ethen and found some that was able to be brought back, but what they weren't aware of was that one careless coworker came into direct contact with the mold through a tiny hole in the glove and now... it was slowly spreading inside his body.
