In answer to your question, I need o-Chlorotoluene for a somewhat hideously over complicated Amateur synthesis of of N-Phenylanthranilic acid for testing the output of a (per)chlorate cell to ensure that all the chlorate has been converted to perchlorate. o-Chlorobenzoic acid and Aniline aren't exactly the most accessible chemicals (well, I couldn't find them anyway...).

2016-04-28 23:33:45 +0000 UTCthe separation step somewhat labor intensive and not at all accurate for determining the ratio. We're essentially destroying one isomer faster than the other. Since it consumes the desired isomer to some extent, any ratio calculated will be unreliable.
