To further explain, the MAGI is also the brain of NERV headquarters. The Angel was hijacking its programming and convincing it to initiate a self destruct, destroying NERV HQ / the Eva's / everything. From the wiki: "Ritsuko comes up with a scheme to use the Angel's rapid adaptive ability against it and force it to evolve in to a benign state, but must race to implement it before the Angel gains control."

2024-03-12 02:46:16 +0000 UTCBasically Ritsuko’s mother created the Magi and implanted 3 facets of her personality into them (the mother, the scientist, and the woman). Ritsuko was able to stop and rewrite the system based off her mother’s notes and her own personal knowledge of her mother. I won’t spoil but you said something again this episode that had me 👀. If you rewatch it’s going to be insane lol
