Added 2022-09-21 23:44:56 +0000 UTCI want you guys to let me know what movies you think I should add for October. Movies recommended here will be weighed FAR more than YouTube recommendations so choose wisely!

2022-09-24 14:18:48 +0000 UTCI don't know why people get scared at The Shining. Of course, Kubric was a masterful film-maker but I never saw what was scary in it.

2022-09-24 14:01:05 +0000 UTCOf course, if you've never seen "The Shining," that has to be at the top of the list. The three best Stephen King horror/suspense adaptations are "The Dead Zone," "Misery" and "It."
2022-09-22 18:16:09 +0000 UTCMisery is an Oscar winning classic. I’ve been wanting to watch Midsommar. Two good recommendations.

2022-09-22 15:30:45 +0000 UTCI forgot about the horror/scary theme, and was reacting to the Swedish recommendations. However, the action/drama in these films definitely fits into the horror category, on many levels.

2022-09-22 15:26:17 +0000 UTCThis is definitely not horror/scary. In my excitement, I was confused about the theme. Please do Moonstruck whenever you can.

2022-09-22 15:21:05 +0000 UTCCan't stand Cher but love her in this and Suspect with Dennis Quaid
Red Dwarf
2022-09-22 10:04:38 +0000 UTCReady or Not is also a great one
Red Dwarf
2022-09-22 08:02:41 +0000 UTCMisery (1990) -- based on a Stephen King novel with an amazing/terrifying performance from Kathy Bates. Midsommar (2019) -- written/directed by the same person who wrote/directed Hereditary (heard great things about Hereditary, but I haven't seen it). Wonderfully made and very atmospheric/captivating, but definitely a fucked up movie lol.

2022-09-22 03:20:06 +0000 UTCCarrie is a great movie also (1976).

2022-09-22 02:19:43 +0000 UTCHorror related? I'll throw out some titles. Creepshow (1982) - written by (and co-starring) Stephen King and a stacked cast, five stories in one, GREAT classic. Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1978) is great, so is An American Werewolf In London, I can't remember if you've seen that one already! Super classic and old is "Freaks" which is not only great but super short (I think it's like an hour!) (Lots of old classic horror movies are only an hour long).

2022-09-22 02:18:02 +0000 UTCIf you want to go with an older classic, The Apartment has everything, including Oscars. (I’m sorry, I forgot your theme was horror/scary for October. We better do this one right away then. Thanks.)

2022-09-22 00:33:30 +0000 UTCMoonstruck is a great comedy drama, with two Oscar performances by women, Cher and Olivia Dukakis.

2022-09-22 00:32:04 +0000 UTCSpeaking of Swedish, their Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy is very good.
