Haha It hit me when I saw the eyeliner during the final assault that he was maybe gay. Your right, the signs before then were clear as day and now I realize he never really took any of the nazi stuff seriously. At all. Thanks for letting me know it actually is academy acclaimed as well

You were looking away during the most obvious hint. This is a movie that needs rewatching. Captain K is no Nazi. I don’t think he had a lot of options. He would be dead if they knew he was gay. He joined the German army just hoping to survive. You said it yourself, he was a little extra. That was funny because you hadn’t even caught the hints. Taika Waititi won the best adapted screenplay Oscar. He and the movie were nominated for all the big awards.
