Sadly yes, Mike, beautiful, sweet Sharon (she was known to be as sweet and innocent as she's portrayed in this film) was murdered savagely. Brace yourself if you want details, you can find them pretty much anywhere. However, a great place to start would be this documentary on YT:

This one - along with the Coen Bros 'Ballad of Buster Scruggs' - are among my all time favorite western-themed dark comedies.

A love letter to old Hollywood, a Charles Manson historical fiction, and finally it's a Tarantino movie. I love how immersive the setting is. Feels like a warm glove.
The strong Mexican accent WAS Rick Dalton. He recorded the lines so he could play off himself and practice.
Also, Spaghetti Westerns (Italian films) are how we know Clint Eastwood. Most famous spaghetti western is probably The Good, The Bad, and The ugly.
Finally, you should check out the Joe Rogan Tarantino clip where Quentin talks about Bruce Lee and Cliff Booth. Great clip.
Glad you liked the movie.
