Yes I don’t blame him. Atrocities that you wouldn’t even believe existed if not for the photos and first hand accounts from literal survivors and soldiers. A sad time in humanity for sure

If you lived in areas that contained large numbers of Jews, and they disappear, you didn’t want to know what happened to them. German families and the Government got by during the war on the money and wealth of the disposed from invaded countries. They took everything and everybody they wanted.

2021-09-21 22:15:58 +0000 UTCHistorically it was Hitler, his cabinet and Hitler's SS/Police Force that planned, built and ran the concentration camps. It's likely that a majority of Hitler's military had no idea about the concentration camps. It's also fairly believable that most civilians weren't aware either. I'm sure many knew about it and didn't want to accept personal responsibility. Just like the Rape of Nanking by the Japanese, they just played it up as it didn't happen or over exaggerations.
