Patreon Question

I've been trying to keep as much content as I can in the free tier, but I worry that those who are contributing more would like to see more value. Please tell me how you feel about this subject in the comments. Thanks.

My only complaint is that you have so many different stories going on in your section that I have trouble bouncing back and forth. The quality of the writing and the stories is never a question. It’s just that there are so many different things to deal with.

Maybe offer primarily the first chapter as free so people get the usual "this is what you're missing out on" teaser as an incentive to join one of the paid tiers. But as a "BRONZE level" user I have no problem with the current ratio of free to paid content. Do whatever you feel most expedient to generate revenue.

Thanks for the replies and support. :) For now things will remain as they are with most things except 18+ only content viewable for free with only an occasional delay for the free tier. Hugs, Erin

It's a lot easier for me to read on Patreon app than on the website, but if the content went away, that's fine. This is basically my Hatbox sub.

I don't have any problem with free content here, though I'd like to think my dollar a month gets me something -- early access, perhaps. (My regular contribution is to the Hatbox.)

Wednesday Knights will be avaialble next week on Kindle

I prefer to buy the whole book on Kindle, but ill admit I'm having a hard time figuring out which ones are ready for sale.

What is the point of paying if you can get it all for free? I joined to support BCTS, the early access etc isn't a deal breaker for me but its nice to get something back, a reward if you like. some people are givers, others are takers, more free stuff plays to the latter group.

There's a free trial for the $3 tier, and we do have the annual offer with a 16% discount. :)

Perhaps you could eliminate the free tier and turn on getting a free trial period for at least the next tier up. That's what I do with my Patreon tier structure. I've had success with patrons signing up for the free trial month then converting to the paid tier the second month. I also like the annual pre-pay plan that Patreon has which is how I pay to be a patron of BCTS. By doing it with the annual plan I get a little discount plus I don't have to worry about watching my bank balance for a monthly auto-deduction.
