The cover isn't really an illustration of the story; it's sort of a metaphor. :) It's from a very silly idea I had, imagining a Phil Foglio kind of cover with toy dump trucks assembling the main character from a pile of sand. :) Mel E did a good job of adapting that idea to a real cover. I love the cute little flying dumpster bugs. :D
