This is classic M&U. More political kitsch documentaries and "Politics, What a Concept" movies, please.

"If Michael Moore wanted to invoke 1984, he'd probably show a clip from the film version" they say, when Fahrenheit 9/11 ends with Moore narrating a whole paragraph of Orwell's book, specifically that "The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism" passage.

You know, while I agree with Mr D'Souza's ideas about alternate stores of value, he should prepare for the economy of the future. Who needs precious metals, I want to buy DINE$H COIN.

Do y'all have any plans on seeing Ella McKay? (The new James L Brooks movie about a lawyer who is forced to become a politician due to her boss becoming state senator, or something) I watched it and I'm not really sure if there would be much to dissect in terms of the film's politics, but I was just interested to hear your guys's opinions on James L Brooks career as a director and writer, if you had any It's also weird because it's set in 2008, but that plays almost no factor into the plot, despite it being a movie about politics. almost as though the film was written in 2008 and was just shelved until Brooks was let out of directors jail (due to the underperformance of his previous film)

Sometimes I wonder if, just as Suzanne Vega’s vocal for “Tom’s Diner” provided the foundation for the foundational MP3 algorithm, Dinesh’s filmography is the foundation of what Sam Altman wanted Sora to feel like.
