Ethan talking about how he taught himself to perform on stage in plays was absolutely amazing.

2024-01-03 00:46:42 +0000 UTCHaha I noticed that too! But that's what the game was called back in the day.

2024-01-03 00:37:27 +0000 UTCThank you, Ethan! So great listening to you talk about your life. I've always loved this quote about acting, “The sitting around on the set is awful. But I always figure that’s what they pay me for. The acting I do for free.” – Edward G Robinson.

2023-09-23 10:32:51 +0000 UTCi agree! I just really enjoy every time Ethan is on the show! he just makes me smile. He's on a short list think i wouldn't mind being stuck on an elevator with.

2023-09-19 07:05:55 +0000 UTChere i am in the first two minutes making a comment, and it has nothing to do with trek or voy, but i just have to say how much i love long island. as a west coast girl (farthest east i've lived was denver), the only thing i know about new york is very generalized and stereotypical. i had the pleasure of going to Long Island for Hurricane Isaias for about a month for storm cleanup on the power lines and residential damage. obviously driving around in a bucket truck when it's essential will make people a little nicer. But I will say that everywhere we went, it was beautiful and everybody was super nice even when they didn't know what we were doing. The only stereotype I ran into was the almost cartoony accent that some people had. I doubt i made any money that month because i spent it all on the amazing food.

2023-09-19 05:19:12 +0000 UTCThat was a favorite of mine. I had no idea his father had a speak easy or hearing the stories about getting the food for the restaurant

2023-09-19 02:18:35 +0000 UTCYes I suppose that's true. And principles are principles, after all. You don't get to break the prime directive just because you think it's unnecessary. Yes, CAPTAIN J, I mean you.

2023-09-19 00:02:57 +0000 UTCIt's considered a form of promoting. There are many people out there that haven't seen some of the shows we may discuss. Since some of our product is on free podcast hosting sites, some people could come across it, hear it, and then for the first time go and watch the shows our hosts, or guests have been on. This happening won't help SAG members with their strike.
Garrett
2023-09-19 00:01:23 +0000 UTCWow, that's extremely strict. I appreciate the solidarity, I just didn't realise the rules were that tight about it. I think maybe the ask is over the top but if that's what you do to show solidarity I support it. It's bizarre to hear people talk about TV without saying any names though!

2023-09-18 23:57:44 +0000 UTCIt is asked by SAG that members do not say past, present, or future projects under struck companies. It is seen as a form of promotion, and we want to respect that.

2023-09-18 23:51:17 +0000 UTCAre the strike rules really so strict people can't even say the names of TV shows?

2023-09-18 18:44:04 +0000 UTCDefinitely the best of the 3 interview episodes so far. Roxanne and Tim were great, but the conversation with Ethan took on a life of it's own beyond "how did you get into acting?". Just hearing about his dad's restaurant and growing up in NYC was really cool. It was a good hour and a half. This is the format I'd prefer for these episodes going forward. The "acting journey" is a good starting point, but I like when you guys let the conversation sprawl out in whatever direction it wants to go.

2023-09-18 15:04:34 +0000 UTCThat was interesting hearing about Eithan’s theater acting experience. I have never seen the show Benson before. I never knew those two actors worked together before. That is crazy that many years later that they could recite lines like that while off set.

2023-09-18 12:54:58 +0000 UTCThat was cool hearing the stories of New York and Robbie connecting with Eithan Phillips.
