Props to Robbie for remembering Astroworld! 👍

uhm... Garret... what were you doing while watching the episode? xD Of course Harry was there to get his inoculation alongside everyone else - he just didn't have a line to say - but he was sitting on a biobed right across from Joe Kerry - you can see him when the Doctor walks past him to get to Kerry to give him the first inoculation

Stefan Au

Good episode. I liked that Neelix thinks the people on earth are a little too serious (ie self-righteous leaning). He IS a good ambassador. The solution was a little too easy. But it’s 44 mins of TV. I can live with it.

SnazzyO

I thought Garrett said was going to say "receives" in Klingon, but he never did. 🤔

Jen V

The loser was Lt. Carrey and his family!

Jen V

Did anyone else go oh no when they gave Lt. Carry a wife and kids. At that point, they might as well have put him in a Red Shirt. Remember my brother and I both saying that when he said when my wife was pregnant…

Jessica

Did anyone notice how much the away team uniforms resembled the first season uniforms on Enterprise?

Kris Hansen

I googled "Tom Paris", just because, and I saw this podcast and I thought it was so cool to see "harry kim" and "tom paris" interacting in real life after the Voyager bond they had, that I just had to sign up for Patreon in general and subscribe. Thank you both so much.

Mister Boddy

Ugh, the "we don't have any more torpedoes" bit. Come on man, the horse is dead. There have been a couple of nice write ups, the one by Bakura most notably in the next next episode comments as well as others that have put forth very plausible explanations of how they could still be using torpedoes. I saw Kim sitting on a bio bed waiting for his shot at least twice in that scene. Janeway says that the people on the planet think that the Voyager crew are violent and she does not want to reinforce that notion. None of them ever said that the Voyager crew are violent, they simply stated they are responsible for the situation on the planet.

ST Fan CB

Guys. They got MORE photo torpedos. There’s a whole episode where they deal with an arms merchant. It’s like running out of ammo. You can find a supplier and get more!

Emily Schuler

Garrett they had to get the probe back to prevent another V'Ger incident!!

peter

Maybe the line (which wasn't in the pilot, but "The Cloud", IIRC) about not being able to replace torpedoes was an error. A flaw in the script. Despite replicator rations, we've seen them use more shuttles than Voyager should be able to have, build 2 Delta Flyers, build jail cells, build enough Cryo Sleep Pods for the entire crew..... clearly they have more replicator / build capacity than was indicated. Realistically, its just the muddling of the line between the producers wanting to depict Voyager as having to conserve resources and being alone vs. the writers wanting to do stuff.

Dustin Snyder

Voyager's replicators were reserved for the important stuff with a few rations for the crew. I would assume it would be more like replicating parts and building torpedoes, maybe at times trading for a circuit board or whatever. They should have just addressed it in an episode. And yes, that is a modified hallmark ornament. Prop guy said so.

Samantha

I think if you do a missing episode segment at the end of this, it has to be the one where they made or found a new weapons replicator. 😂😂

Carole Patterson

Gentlemen, I’m SO happy to hear you talk about the future of the Delta Flyers podcast. 👏👏👏👏👏

Scott Lakes

Astroworld is a dead amusement park was in Houston like the baseball team, defunctland on YouTube did vid about it. also there was a guy after Robbie on AMC who played Charlie between 90-91, the character quit med school to be a model the character was unrecognizable so they recast again in 92 with someone older…

Estelle Keller

I had a problem with the timeline too . How long ago did it arrive ?

Phil Bishop

This week, I remembered the hand signal at the beginning! :-D

Heather Irwin

They did a bonus episode on that about a year ago.

Mary Burch

Enterprise did something similar where people lived underground and thought the humans ruined their planet and they were suffering from radiation. It was called Terra Nova. Turns out they were actually human as well even tho they called themselves Novan.

Dawn Smith

Is this society a pre-warp civilisation? It doesn't sound like it, otherwise, maybe Janeway's argument would hold water. But it also doesn't sound like they have ships that could assist with a mass evacuation. If non-interference (Prime Directive) was an issue then that would have been raised, despite the earth probe being the cause of the disaster in the first place.

Andrew Murray

The torpedo thing here is an easy fix. Repurpose the nuclear warheads peppering the surface. Like the Phoenix their instruments of destruction become their salvation. Sidebar, another change I’d make is to have Verin be the baby’s father, much more dramatic if he uses his unborn child’s future as his motivation

Craig Main

The only 'Astro' I know was the Jetsons' dog.... LOL.

Andrew Murray

dont forget, Friendship one did the "learn all that is learnable" thing like...um "V'ger. But unfortunately didn't make it back to "The creator". So probably has MORE data than Voyager 6 did.

Andrew Murray

one of the "after voyager" ideas could be Robbies recollection on "First Duty" (TNG).

Andrew Murray

What confuses me about the plan to clean the planet's atmosphere it this, knowing that the torpedoes would cause shockwaves, why didn't they launch the torpedoes out of the aft launcher? That way they wouldn't be flying into the shockwaves.

Brandon Kolk

I've always figured that with the torpedo supply issue, it wasn't that Voyager couldn't get more ever, they just didn't know when they'd be able to get more. It's not like back in the alpha quadrant where if they needed more torpedoes they'd just swing by the nearest starbase and resupply.
