New Cantrip?
Added 2023-12-13 14:44:26 +0000 UTCNot the *most* exciting thing, but Drow Nobility gave him a cantrip he already had, detect magic, so it’s time for him to get a replacement.
Acid splash: the acid version of Ray of Frost. Does 1d3 acid damage. Outside of combat could probably be used to clean stone or metal things?
Light: a much longer lasting light spell for his non-nocturnal allies; makes something that he touches start glowing for 10 minutes per level.
Resistance: a simple cantrip that replicates the effects of a common magic item. Gives a +1 bonus to all saving throws for one minute. Autopilot could probably keep it up on one or two people more or less perpetually, but it would make him look weird and neurotic to refresh it every 60 seconds.
Arcane Mark: permanently place a small personal sigil or word on a surface. it will fade from living creatures in about a month. Can be visible or only detectable with magic at Emrys’s discretion. Other than making it invisible it looks the same each time it is used.
Ghost Sound: allows the user to make sounds from his imagination. The level of precision is not enough to make intelligible speech, but (for example) unintelligible gibberish in a ”foreign language” is possible, as is the sound of a gunshot or a growling animal.
