Learning how to be a wizard independently would be a bit difficult, since that’s like getting a physics degree. Learning how to use a gun properly would be pretty much identical to irl. Becoming a cleric is a pretty big investment of training, but if Curtis found a god that he earnestly bought into the teachings of he could probably start performing a divine obedience like both Sandara and Cog do most days. Etc. etc.
