Schedule Update

OK, it’s clear my trying to have a detailed weekly schedule, while good at making me stress myself out at every approaching deadline and making you in turn be perpetually disappointed at the false expectations I kept setting up, isn’t quite working in the way I intended. Starting this month, I think what I’ll do is announce the things that need to be written and maybe post a poll from time to time to prioritize.

This also means that, from now on, Wake-up Call and All Right! Fine! I Will Take You! won’t be pushed around the week as I try to regain my pace. Unless some emergency comes up, it’s back to Tuesdays and Thursdays for those two fics. That being said, this is how the rest of the month should look like:

- Hallowe’en: this is something I’m working toward. The idea was to celebrate by updating Periodical Cicadas with two chapters (one of them being made immediately public so that QQ can join in the spirit of things) and also to add a third thing that depended on the poll I posted at the start of the month. What won said poll was the horror comedy option, and I think I have a good synopsis for one in the works. Sadly, this is one of those things where you won’t see any progress made until the month ends, so, if it feels like a particular week (of the remaining two) hasn’t had that many updates, I’m likely working on this.

- Poll winners: at the end of every month, I run two polls for extra content for the following month. This time around, my ongoing original story, Tales from a Lewd Fantasy World, won one poll, and my silly idea for a Kim Possible one-shot won the other. I’ve worked on the KP fic through the weekend, and I should finish it tomorrow, so that would be one thing out of the way. I also have the next Tales in the works, but I think I’ll prioritize the Hallowe’en stuff over it, just in case I run short on time.

- Puella Monstrum Madoka Magica: this will get another update this Friday, but no more until next month. The outline is there, but I don’t think I’ll have the time or mental energy for more of it.

- Ginosko: I’d like to get a chapter in this month because I feel like I have a good ending in mind for the story, and it shouldn’t take more than three or four chapters to reach it, but, again, I’ll prioritize the other stuff.

- A Pure Knight’s Natural Enemy: this is the big one. I promised you all a monthly update of this monstrous (in far too many senses) Konosuba fic, and I intend to deliver. This will get updated before Hallowe’en and, hopefully, before the 23. I just have to come up with a good idea… (Yes, the one thing I intend to write, no matter what, is the one I have less of a leg to stand on. Yes, I am as surprised as you all are.)

All right, so this is my projected workload for the next two weeks, and you can see how it will be a close thing, even if I’m being optimistic. Please have some patience; I hope it will be worth it in the end.

And if you want to comment on any ideas for Konosuba here or on Discord, I’ll be happy to read through all of them and pretend I’m not plagiarizing your collective efforts. Thank you for always being so patient and wonderfully supportive.
