April 18th to 24th Schedule

Well, I’m afraid it’s no news that I messed up last week’s schedule, is it? Let me do a bit of postmortem and see how much I messed up.

I was a bit tired after the writing marathon that had me finish Deranged Lesbian and its epilogue and the next chapter of Self Insert of the Dead in three days, so Monday was a bit of a struggle, and I finished the Wordsworth’s chapter on Tuesday morning, then went straight to agonizing over Wake-up Call’s follow-up, which was also finished on Wednesday morning rather than on Tuesday evening as it should’ve been. Still, I was more or less on track and recovering lost ground, but… Well, that’s when they called my father for the lung replacement, and I spent about eight hours from the call since I finally arrived home worrying about what turned out to be a lot of much ado about nothing—that is, my nerves were shot, my energy sapped, and I’ve had headaches ever since. And all that with the transplant not going through.

Damn it.

I postponed Zaimokuza once again and focused on trying to get back on track with All Right! Fine! I’ll Take you! and getting Self Insert of the Dead ready on Saturday, which I more or less managed to do. Then I decided I would write Zaimokuza on Sunday and at least write as much as I could of the Konosuba one-shot before Monday came.

Ha. I’m adorable.

Anyway, I’m at the point where I can see the end of Zaimokuza’s story, and, as it will be the first novel-length project I finish, I keep piling expectations on it, which made me anxious enough I barely managed to write half of the chapter on Sunday before crashing on my bed. I wrote it yesterday, but it dragged on, and far slower than I’m used to writing, which means yesterday’s Wordsworth is currently half-finished.

So, with all that being said, this is the new, far too optimistic schedule for this week.

Schedule:

Monday: Zaimokuza Gaiden.

Tuesday: Wordsworth.

Wednesday: Wake-up Call, and possibly A Pure Knight’s Natural Enemy.

Thursday: All Right! Fine! I’ll Take You! and, if not finished on Wednesday, A Pure Knight’s Natural Enemy.

Friday: Ginosko, or as far as I can get with it.

Saturday: Either Ginosko or resting up.

Sunday: Zaimokuza Gaiden.

All of this, with the caveat that the stress-induced headaches stop about five minutes after I post this. Anyway, let’s just say this is more aspirational than anything else until I manage to get a better grip on the situation.
