One again, it has been an awfully long time since I wrote anything here. I have been making updates in the Discord server, but even there, it is far to seldom for what my supporters deserve. I really should try to get into the habit of posting more regularly, even if it is only to give a simple text message telling everyone how things are going.
You have my deepest apologies for always forgetting to do so.
Although it has been over a year since my last post, we sadly still do not have any new playable version to show. We have been hard at work trying to get one out, but this new update both adds a new floor to the dungeon and also adds a new function to the combat system, so there is a lot of work to be done. The coder is doing his best, but since his work on this project is of low priority, he does not have as much time as he would like to.
On the other hand, when it comes to art, we have quite a lot of new content. Four new characters have been completed, early-stage sketches for all 60 monsters scheduled to appear in the game have also been drawn up, three new backgrounds have been created and 34 new items have also been completed. In addition to the aforementioned, there's a handful of non-specific interface art that's also been finished. Icons to help identify class and category of enemies, for instance.
I've gotten hold of both a new writer and a new composer, but we sadly haven't had the time to do much work on either of those fronts yet. The writer has written three new events and the composer is working on five new tracks but nothing has been added to the game yet.
As for me, I'm currently working on adding all of the status effects (both good and bad) to the game, as well as figuring out the various special skills and abilities that will be available to the characters. I've got the general idea for all of it down, but making them work in a way that is balanced is a lot harder than I had anticipated at first. I'm also working on balancing the stats for the monsters, but since some of them use special abilities and such, the actual numerical balancing has kinda been put on the shelf until abilities and ailments have been sorted out.
