Pearly's Salon: 0.2 Devblog #3

Technically this is the third post covering the development of the game so Imma title it dat way.

Hello again,

The past weeks Ive been working on the next major update for the game, and while I have teased some screenshots, most of the development is mostly on the event programming and some scripting (thanks to Wyoomy for the tips)

So most of the progress arent exactly visual.

But I did made some new tiles and assets I can tease for the future update, which also took a lot of my time coz they need to align properly

Like I teased previously, I've been working on the hair collection minigame, making use of certain plugin to make it work.

Basically each time a client is done, certain amount of shorn hair will be on the floor where player will manually clean up and dump it into the bin.

There will be more to this of course.

Time really pass by fast sometimes

I have also changed how time work, now with day-Night cycle, sort of, so certain activities and events will be locked to certain times of the day or date(e.g: shops open only on daytime and closes on sundays). The days total will still be counted and will be integral to the game,

Thou I just supposed to work with Pearly's portraits, but I can't help but trying to make my own character sprites, but it will take a while to actually do every variations so the next version may only have a limited version of it.

and despite the details of the artwork above, it got squished like this in the game anyways, lmao, RPGmaker limitations, I suppose.

Maybe the original resolution could be used elsewhere in the future.

There are several more stuffs I'm working on, which I will mention in the next post soon enough. Please understand that I also got a dayjob to maintain so I can only work on this in between my work time.

And who is this other girl, I wonder. Will be revealed pretty pretty soon...
