Sooo I was doing the silicone pour for the second batch of silicone molds for the resin computer case we’re making, and I committed a cardinal silicone sin. See, when you’re pouring your mixed part A and part B silicone from your bucket, you don’t scrape the sides because there might be unmixed silicone there. Well I was running low and although I knew not to scrape the sides, I did pour out a LOT more of the silicone in the bucket, so much that some of the on-the-sides stuff must have made it into the mold because we had uncured resin the final mold. How do we know that? Well for one, parts of it were sticky. But two, the bubbles in the uncured part EXPANDED after we removed it from the pressure pot. Hence these very unsightly bubbles.

The good news is, after pouring a replacement mold we were able to pour the resin! It doesn’t look *exactly* like our test pieces because 1) it had to be poured more shallow, and 2) we couldn’t fully smooth it out with the heat gun because there were a bunch of obstacles.

But now they’re in the pressure pot and we’re just crossing our fingers they’re level *enough* (it’s really hard to make sure they are level in there) -Katelyn
