Like we mentioned a few posts ago, we have an idea we wanna tackle that may involve concrete (hence our quest to test concrete vibrators). But we figured before we get to that, why not experiment with ways to spice up concrete a bit… I’m talking about Terrazzo! If you don’t know what terrazzo is, it’s basically cement embedded with chips/flakes of stone or glass.

But it’s traditionally REALLY hard to sand smooth because you have to use a crazy industrial grinder to grind down the chips.
So we’re gonna try “faux” terrazzo where you make the chips out of concrete too, that way we can use the sander/grinder we have at home. Oh yeah, this also means we’ll be coloring concrete for the first time!
To make the chips, you spread out the concrete into thin sheets, and once it cures you break them into chips. So we’ve got our concrete spread out to make some flakes and we’ll see how this goes!

And we figured while we’re at it, we’d try a TotalBoat product (a sponsor of ours who makes our resin) called “Razzo” and see how that works too. It's sorta like a "plaster of Paris"-esque product.
