Added 2022-05-26 19:53:20 +0000 UTCSPOILER ALERT, spoiler alert: The wireless power transmitter dice tray is complete and looks great! Why yes that is a nice black velvet bottom we have installed, thanks for noticing (not flocked, just adhesive). Fully laser cut and designed with a power outlet on the side. The bottom is almost entirely hollow with a few structural reinforcing elements. We went ahead and used hot glue to hold everything in place for now since it's actually one of the strongest "temporary" (removable via liberal 99% alcohol) adhesives we like to use. We also ran it for a while to make sure the passive heat sink had enough space and didn't get too hot and everything checks out great so far! The range on this thing is pretty impressive too, reaching even outside the box somewhat and through all the structural elements. -E

I used the small coil cause the big one got so hot I was worried. It worked out well since the dice tower we made for ours has a smaller base but I can’t wait to see how this looks with the bigger coil and brighter LEDs.
