Hey guys! Wanted to share progress on our tensegrity table. Since everything needed to be very precise and balanced, we used the CNC to cut a template and then used that template to cut out our pieces. We haven't done this since we collabed with Johnny Brooke (hey Johnny! π) from Crafted Workshop so we actually went back and watched out CNC Live Edge Coffee Table video (https://youtu.be/Ml8dIHNKzuQ)

Evan cut out the legs using the template on the router table:

I cut out the top and bottom pockets with a plunge router:

Technically if we used thinner material, we could have used the CNC to cut out our pieces directly but we wanted the legs to be really beefy because they hold most of the tension, so the rest needed to be beefy enough to match.
