Hey everyone! What would y'all think about seeing what a rough cut for us is like? Instead of editing the pieces together scene by scene as we go, we're trying a new method of gathering all the raw footage and then crafting the final video from that. Our thought is that this will speed the editing up, and one day we could get an editor to take it to this point, where we'll pick up the project and add our finishing touches to.
Katelyn has edited this one till around the 3 minute mark. Beyond that it's mainly just footage that needs voiceover, music, some serious trimming, color correction, etc.
We thought that this might be a useful insight to people making videos themselves and some good extra content for anyone curious about our method. I'm guessing that we'll edit this 29 minutes of footage into 10-15 minutes. We got a lot of extra footage during this project because we knew we wouldn't be able to get any more once we left.
Let us know what you think!
EDIT: just realized we typo'd preview in the thumbnail...
