Good listen! I’d say skipping over the role of migrants in contributing to the rise of the AFD and other far-right parties in Western Europe is an oversight though

Yeah I've heard that explanation re: Poland and remittances on RWN but don't really but it. Where else has this ever been the case? By that logic Latin America should be swimming in cash. Same could be said for drugs. Re: regulatory overreach no doubt these protests are working on behalf of industrialists but the fact this sort of thing is able to gain the traction it has is a consumer standard you'll find nowhere else in the world. My point about South Africa is one of teleology, not of theaters. Just as Honduras and Venezuela are a route to Cuba imperialists are going to have to first isolate the left-wing African countries in the South and I argue this is a major consideration in the conflicts in Africa.

1. The agriculture question in the EU is less about regulatory overreach than the power of industrial lobbies to threaten democracy and public order. The farmer’s protest in the Netherlands was a trial run for a possible colour revolution in any one of the major member states. France and Italy are especially vulnerable. 2. Poland is an enigma on many levels. Part of its 21st century success can be attributed to remittances from the diaspora and overflow from the German economy. It also happens to be a MAJOR source of synthetic drugs for the European market. This industry may date back to the Cold War: Tom O’Neill mentions that Toronto labs supplied most of the world with MDA in the ‘60s. Look up Stan Tyminski to see where I’m going with this. 3. In Africa, the disintegration around the Red Sea is certainly the major theatre, with the UAE, Israel, Egypt and even Qatar in the front lines. Something similar is happening in the Lake Victoria region, less advanced and barely discussed. Western commentators reversed their longstanding sympathy for the Kagame regime in the past couple years, surely with an eye to both the illicit traffic in strategic minerals out of the Congo, and the exploitation of Uganda’s bounty. China and the US have invested heavily in Kenyan infrastructure to access this corridor. Uganda has an upcoming election, this year.
